The “clear” choice for strengthening your teeth used to be uncomfortable braces. But, ClearCaps is a company which is literally offering the “clear choice” by creating transparent aligners.

Jesse Bartels founded the company in Berlin, Germany in 2016 and now works as “Chief Unbrace Officer”. His idea was to create “unbraces” using a state-of-the-art arsenal of manufacturing equipment, including 3D printers.

So far, this idea has been very successful and he recently decided that to keep up with demand, the company’s range of printers needed to be expanded. After much deliberation and research, Bartels finally decided on Structo’s MSLA-powered 3D printers.

“We always strive to be at the forefront of the latest technology to help us deliver superior treatment outcomes… To meet our high quality, high volume manufacturing requirements, we look for a printer that can deliver the throughput we require over time as we rapidly increase our production volumes. When we came across Structo’s impressive MSLA technology more than 2 years ago, we decided to get on board.”

ClearCaps creates Superior Clear Aligners with Structo Printers

ClearCaps produces 250 models per day which they believe will increase over the coming months due to more demand and “tremendous” growth. Bartels adds:

Before an aligner reaches the 3D printer, ClearCaps first relies on state-of-the-art 3D software. 3D Software is also used for planning treatment and tracking cases.

Structo is delighted that its printers are now part of the ClearCaps fleet of machines. (Find more 3D printers)

-Dhruv Sahgal, Head of Business Development at Structo

Now, with the latest Structo dental printer, the DentaForm, it’s possible to print up to 10 clear aligners in 30 minutes thanks to a large build platform.
