The project SAMFAST (for SAMple FAST) was created with the goal of creating cavity moulds in a fraction of the time using 3D Printing compared to traditional methods.

The project has the goal to create an FDM material capable of producing moulds for the injection moulding industry. Currently these moulds are tooled out of metal block, it can take a long time and a high number of resources to produce. The project SAMFAST will allow more flexibility for this industry, notably for shorter production runs. At the initiative of CERO, in order to reduce the time it takes to create injection moulds, the group Albatros and EMC2 brought together the different actors in SAMFAST. The project is using the materials developed and industrialized by Nanovia, Compositic and LTEN.

Launched on 14th of September 2021, the expectation to project SAMFAST is to be completed till the end of 2023.
